Like the flowers that begin to bloom in the spring, we too are ready to bask in the sun and take in the blue skies in the coming warm months. If you are like most, you have spent a tremendous amount of time at home and are craving a change of scenery. Here are some simple ideas that can make a tremendous impact in your home:
BRING ON THE HAPPY
Whether it’s a fresh coat of paint, a new pillow or 2 in a bright, happy spring color or a new area rug, these simple changes can bring a whole room to life. Out with the neutrals and bring on the color.
LAYER IT ON
Bring any room to life with textures. Nubby fabrics, chunky, woven blankets, fluffy throws or accessories in ceramic or wood add a special dimension to any and all spaces. From wallpaper to fabrics or even window treatments or accessories, texture is key.
LIGHTS, CAMERA…
Bring that bright, happy spring lighting into your home. Lighting is a game changer. Lightbulbs come in all shades of white. Go from cool to warm or vice versa. It’s that easy! Adding a floor lamp or changing out a chandelier to something that makes you smile will change the feel of space and your overall mood.
LAST ONE OUT…
It is time to get outside! A good dose of vitamin D is amazing for the soul. It is time to carve out your sanctuary outdoors. You can even bring your friends 6 feet apart! It can be as simple as a blanket and lanterns. Expand your horizons without leaving the comfort of your own home.
